The NB7NPQ1102M is a high performance single port linear receiver for USB 3.1 Gen 1 and USB 3.1 Gen 2 applications supporting 5 Gbps and 10 Gbps data rates. Signal integrity is degraded due to PCB alignment, transmission cables and internal symbol interference (ISI).The NB7NPQ1102M compensates for these losses by taking multiple equalization levels at the input receiver, and flat gain on the output transmitter. The NB7NPQ1102M provides programmable equalization and flat gain to optimize performance across a variety of physical media. The NB7NPQ1102M includes an automatic receiver detection function that will determine if the output is active. If the signal detector for the corresponding trench is idle for a period of time, the receiver detection loop will be active. If no load is detected, the trench will go into "pull-out mode" or return to "low power mode" ("sleep" mode) due to inactivity. Both channels are controlled independently of each other. The NB7NPQ1102M is available in a small 2.5 x 4.5 mm WQFN30 package and is specified for operation over the full industrial temperature range of -40°C to 85°C.
