The Texas Instruments TPS62420QDRCRQ1 DC Switching Regulator is a high performance, adjustable device designed to deliver up to 600mA or 1A of output current in a very small surface mount package. Its 2.25MHz fixed frequency makes it suitable for a wide range of portable and space-sensitive applications. It is designed to provide highly efficient synchronous step-down conversion from input voltages up to 10V and provides adjustable output voltage from 0.6 V up to input voltage. The TPS62420QDRCRQ1 is a 3 x 3 mm VPOST Tyno₂ power package, making it well suited for cell phones, tablets and other small form factor designs. Its fast transient response and low quiescent current make it an ideal choice for always-on systems, such as LED lighting and ultra-portable applications. With high efficiency of up to 96%, it is designed to maximize battery life in these applications. The device is EMI- optimized and certified to pass ESD tests to 15 kV, making it a reliable, robust solution for the most challenging applications.
